View Full Version : Cap bridging rectifier and power tube?

I bought what appears to be a DIY 5f1 champ chassis. There's a .0047 / 600v capacitor that bridges pin 8 of the rectifier to pin 3 of the power tube.

I've not seen this before, what's this for and what's it do? Thanks

It's a snubber circuit of sorts. It helps to smooth out the overdrive sound.
