I just found this video here http://www.aliceinchains.com/blog.html

In the beginning you can see Matchless C 30 head and beneath that Matchless Independance (i think),just wanted to post that cause it's cool to see jerry (or maybe duvall) use that kind of a gear...i know it's a studio but you can also see vox ac 30 and i think marshall bluesbreaker combo.anyway i can't wait to hear the new stuff :RoCkIn

I didn't know they were working on anything new. Who's singing? I'm very curious to hear it!

William Duvall. He sang with them on the reunion tours. I saw them last year and I was skeptical about anyone coming close to filling Layne's shoes but damn I was blown away, Duvall did a great job to say the least IMHO. Can't wait for the new stuff, I love Cantrell's tone and playing.

Yeah, Jerry's a badass player! His tone is great, and the tunes rock!
Do you know when the new disc is coming out?

It's easy to be skeptical of AIC replacing Layne and carrying on, but you have to imagine that people were pretty skeptical of AC/DC replacing Bon Scott and I'd say that turned out pretty well for them.

I think it's great that they are continuing...while it is true that Layne was such a great talent and memorable voice, he was also a very unreliable member of the band, which in turn paved the way for Jerry to do some lead vocals on their albums. Hell, Jerry's solo albums pretty much sounded like new AIC, so it shouldn't be a problem with them continuing.
