the middle section of the song where jimi (on the hendricks version) kicks in with the wah is sublime.

The notes on YouTube say that this is from The Concert of the Century VH1 Saves the music in 1999. If that's the case, I wouldn't be surprised if EC was playing through the low powered tweed twin that John Suhr built for him.

Clapton's always great when he's influenced by Hendrix. He played "Voodoo Chile" and "Them Changes" at the Steve Winwood shows this year, and the recordings I heard were mindboggling.
