Just heard that John Pearse, co-founder of Breezy Ridge Music products, maker of fine strings and other cool things for guitar and a great player in his own right, has passed.

I knew I recognized that name. I've got some John Pearse acoustic strings right here in this huge pile of strings. I've probably used them off and on for years. No complaints.

Thankyou Mr. Pearse.

My 1946 Gibson J45 will forever use John's strings, they are a perfect match. Godspeed, John.

Sad. I've used Pearse phosphor bronze acoustic strings and string wipes for years.

I met John several times at guitar shows; it was always a memorable pleasure. John was a big, warm, bear of a man. One of those people who made you feel like you'd known them your whole life, even at the first casual meeting. A man of many talents, and a large life. He left his mark.

Sad news. Very nice man.

I've used his Phosphor Bronze Light Guage set on just about every acoustic I've owned.
