I got my bias rite today and it works fine, but I am a little confused. If I am trying to bias my 6L6GC's to 36ma, does that mean I should have each tube reading 18ma ??? I have it now so that when I flip between the two tubes, one reads 37 and the other about 39. Or, does this mean I am now biased at 76Ma ???

I assume your meter has an A B C D switch? That will show you the current and voltage on each tube as you switch through the alphabet. No you do not add the milli amps together. The difference you see is the different current draw for each tube. Now you will understand the benefit of buying "matched" tubes.

Bias to the highest reading tube which is 39ma. Current draw is per tube. So back the tube reading 39ma down to your desired 36ma. Within 2ma is considered pretty well matched...this close won't make an audible difference. The tube at 37ma will probably drop to around 34ma.
