View Full Version : GMW - Spalt maple love!

Lee has stated that in his 20+ years of building, he has never seen a piece of spalt as amazingly figured as this.
Completed pics should be ready shortly.

The guitar is sold but GMW is taking orders, although the spalt maple will be somewhat different as each piece is unique.

It features a Swamp Ash body with a birdseye maple neck. Both head and body have been painted a 'color match' to the spalt.
The neck will feature a GMW traditional headstock, 6100 frets, 1 5/8" wide nut width (R2 Floyd clamp) and a satin finish.

That's gorgeous. I am not a Floyd man, but that's gonna be a stunning guitar.

Ian put a creme aged cover on the neck single coil. The white contrasts with the binding and the switch tip.

It is actually a creme pu cover.. the flash for some reason makes it look a lot more white than it actually is. But thanks for the info though. That does definitely make a difference in overall look...
