ok, on my local craigslist and may have found something interesting. Pics suck. They're asking $1500
Ad says it's a Gibson from the early 60s. What is it and how much is it worth?

Hard to tell if it's full depth or not. If it is, it's an ES-175. If it's thin, its an ES-125T.

edit, nevermind, I was wrong about it being a 3/4 ES-140.

I'd also say ES-125T.

125T. The 175 has dual parallelogram fretboard inlays.

Looks like a ES-125T to me.

The burst looks mid-'60s, so be sure to check the neck size -- they're often very thin in that era, which some like, and some don't. Price sounds about right, if in good playing condition.

the unbound neck makes me think it's a 125 too.

Technically it's an ES-125TC - T for thin, C for cutaway. The ES-125 was available in literally every possible combination of body thickness, cutaway/non-cut and single/double pickup. That's a reasonable price. You still might be able to talk him/her down a little, though.
