View Full Version : Peace Frog or Soul Kitchen?
Gotta band disagreement. Keys guy wants to do Soul Kitchen, I'm lobbying for Frog cause of the rippin guitar part. What says the brethren?

soul kitchen IMO.
I like them both though. Widespread Panic has covered both these songs as well. (but then again they've covered 100's of songs)

Can't do both already got enough Doors tunes in our sets.

We do Peace Frog...I didn't know anyone else ever WANTED to do it....weird tune. Of course, it IS a Door's song, most are kinda weird!!
It flows right into "Love Me Two Times" real well. We do them back to back.

My old Phoenix band did Peace Frog.
I loved playing it, and people dug it even if they didn't know it right off.

People should, as concluded from my in-depth scientific analysis, go apeshit for Peace Frog.:banana

two very different songs, both good ones.
Both really need to have an excellent vocal performance to sound good.
You need that droning Morrison sound.

I got to say you are a cool band to play Peace Frog. So many good Doors tunes.

Just do Back Door Man!!! Soul Kitchen is a great song but I'd love to sit in a place and hear a band do a great cover of Frog. Then again, I'm a guitarist though and refuse to play Brown Eyed Girl or Fire and Rain (both great songs but come on). Haha

Used to do Peace Frog in one of the bands I'm in. It's been several years and I forgot all about that. I think it's time to revive it. Always went over very well with the crowd.

Peace Frog for sure, do harmonies with the keys and guitar where possible. Great stuff.
