View Full Version : I just bought a Fulltone 70 today. Anyone care to share their experience of them?

I tried the search page and it seems "fulltone 70" is too basic to nail down any older threads.

I tried one a while back and remember loving it. Great sustain and raw fuzz tone. It got some nice overdrive-ish tones as well.

Can't wait to try it out. Once I'm sure the kids are out, I'm throwing on the Pod to git fuzzy.

I had one a long time ago. It had the tone, but not enough signal boost for my needs.

I have one.
I like it for it's 'on all the time' overdrive that I can clean up with my guitar's volume knob and still get plenty of sustain with the guitar dimed.
I haven't been able to get it to work for me as strait up lead tone (where I use the amp for rhythm gain and use the fuzz for leads) as it just doesn't have the voice for that.
I like the mid knob... alot. I find it adds alot of thickness to the tone.

If you're running it into a clean amp, try running the fuzz into a mild overdrive pedal to simulate the fuzz running into an amp that is already breaking up some. I like the sound of all my fuzzes better running into something that's already breaking up.
