Jimmy Reed, Jimmy Rogers, Lightnin' Hopkins, Jody Williams, Hubert Sumlin, Freddy King, BB King, Albert King, Albert Collins, Guitar Slim, Johnny Guitar Watson, John Lee Hooker, Earl Hooker, Magic Sam, Muddy Waters, ETC.

I hear nothing but blues on that album - thats why its my favorite of all of 'em by far.

Chuck Berry, The Ventures (and the rest of those instrumental bands), Dick Dale, The Thirteenth Floor Elevators, Gatemouth Brown, John Lee Hooker, Freddy King...

Surf music was REALLY big in Texas in the '60's... Just about every guitar player who came up during those years was influenced by it to some degree or another... Listen to some early "Moving Sidewalks" stuff recorded before Gibbons found his niche in "TEXAS BLUES..."

thanks, i think the nearest technique from that moment came from "John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton", I was wondering about similar players.
Of course i'm sure the classic blues guitar players had a major influence on Gibbons, but i was interested in similar sounds and technique. (Sorry if my english is not as good as i would like).
I can imagine a young Gibbons being impressed by "hideaway" and trying to recreate that sound.
