View Full Version : grinding a callaham bridge to fit a filtetron?

The Savales bridge from TV Jones looks a bit iffy with the six saddles and was looking for something with the three brass saddles. Could I get a machine shop to grind out a hole to fit a filtertron or will the screws that hold the bridge pick up still leave a hole?

could you just cut it in half with a hacksaw and mount the pickup directly to the body? Like the GE Smith Telecaster

glendale now sells a cutoff tele bridge (under strat parts)

I think the existing route for the bridge pick up might be too wide to fit a Filterton so I might need a bridge plate to cover that up.

Yes, true.
But don't tear up that perfect Callaham, it would never survive the procedure. Do this:

That was my original plan but I really wanted to avoid the six strat saddle thing
