I'm retoring a 1965 Hagstrom l bass and need a headstock decal. Any ideas short of Sweden. I am in Oregon, I guess it would be a short trip over the pole. No really any ideas?
thanks!

Hey, man, I'm probably not much help here, but how about making your own? Get a pic of one, trace it out. I got an old Hag Swede I love, and it has an inlay, not a decal. Looks like a lot of work went into carving it. From what I can tell the reissues look just like the real thing. So a pic from online or wherever blown up can give you a template and just exacto out a stencil and spray onto some clear or white sticker material. I know it sounds lame, but I don't know where else you'll find one. The company was out of biz for a while so all the old stock was probably trashed.

I think there's some hagstrom types in Vintage Guitar. BTW, I have a 66 or so Hag II bass that I've pretty much destroyed modding.

You could make your own by printing on waterslide decal paper (available at hobby/model stores) and maybe coloring it in with gold magic marker before clearcoating over it.
