Just to the north of where I live. Last Night- 100 homes gone. 70 mph winds. Firefighters making water drops all night. Really gnarly. Power out to 20,000 . Resevoirs are low. People told to not use water to allow pressure to hydrants. My guess is arson. These a$$holes wait till the conditions are prime ( high temps, low humidity, Santa Ana winds) and start the terror. Keep us in your prayers. Thx, tony

Hang in there. I saw that. I even heard that terrorists may have come up with the idea.

No, I don't wear tinfoil. But, the Japanese did similar with balloons in WWII.

I heard this on NPR this AM. Man, that sucks. Hope you stay well.
I think arsonists who do massive fires like this should get life in
prison, even if no human lives are lost, simply due to the devastation,
the risk of life, and cost of dealing with their joy ride. I know, there is
definitely something not "clicking" in the minds of people who set these
fires. I hope it just turns out to be natural causes.

Being where I'm from and having gone through this twice this year...

I feel for all of you.

The winds here right now are insane too. Humidity in the teens. One spark is all it takes.

Stay safe...

As one who grew up in Goleta/Santa Barbara and went through several fires and earthquakes I feel your pain - hang in there...

I lived in S.B. 14 years and every year there was a threat of fire. Fortunately, we are entering the rainy season now through Feb. The lake level at Cachuma is always a barometer of the dry season. You know it is low when the boat landing dries up.
Peace!

Second major fire in your area this year. Stay safe.
We are on Red Flag warning down here as well. The Santa Ana winds kicked in this morning.

Yep, just as I thought, it's our turn today.
The sky is filled with smoke and it it seems like it is snowing in 90 degree heat.
