The Shuttle is launching @ 7:55pm.
It's on NASA TV & HDNET now.

Thanks for the reminder. I just stepped outside and saw it lighting up the sky, 8000 miles per hour. Awesome!

God speed, Endeavour! And a safe return for the crew!

It was a beautiful launch. It looked perfect as far as I could tell. Too bad these ships will be retired soon.

Just watched it from my front porch. Incredible sight to say the least. I've lived in Florida for the last 13 years and this is the first time I could see it - not a cloud in the sky. Wow very cool!

I was playing outside earlier at a Relay for Life and saw it off in the distance. Kinda cool.

How far away can a night launch be seen from with perfect weather?

I REALLY want to see one...

I can see them in Orlando with no problem..I'm sure it's the same for Tampa/St Pete too. Like a big roman candle from WDW.

I saw it no problem over in The Villages at 106 miles away. Even saw the booster rockets separate. First time ever since I'm from TX. Very cool.

This is one thing that still thrills me like no other, even after all this time. I've flown high performance jets, but the numbers they rattle off as it is making it's way to and from orbit are just beyond incredible.

Then the whole concept of the ISS and re-usable spacecraft that launch on rockets and lands like an aircraft is amazing. I can't wait (although I don't know if I'll be around to see it) for the next generation of space vehicles.

Thats what gets me too..the altitude, speed & miles downrange figures are incredible. Less than 45 seconds into the launch 2.5 million pounds of fuel burned and the entire vehicle weighs 1/2 of what it did prior ot lift off. :jo
