GT500 updates

has the latest GT500 with all its updates (4 or 5 i think) lost the fizzyness/harshness that dogged the original?
i have one of the early original models and i am wondering if i should bother with the updates or just sell it on.

I had the latest one, the Red Model. Yes, it has lost a lot of the harshness and can get warmer sounding. I had one of the earlier ones, and the red one definitely is an improvement to my ears.

Just got a red one and am really digging it. I had one of the originals and did not like it at the time.

I waited for the Red one. It is not harsh or fizzy. VERY versatile. I've owned and loved V1.2 and V1.4 OCDs and IMO, the newest GT500 is an OCD on steriods and a Fatboost 2 in one box. Both sides work very well by themselves or together. Great pedal! Mine actually made me consider taking my OCD off my board. :huh
