It looks like one hell of an interesting pedal and I am wondering if it might be good with guitar as well as bass.

They are fantastic with guitar. Here are video demos of both the silicon and germanium version in high def audio.

Doesn't seem like there is a whole lot of interest in this one but I liked the clips, like extreme pedals, and like to go off the beaten trail so I ordered a Germanium B:Assmaster from ProGuitarshop.com after having a less than scintillating rendezvous with a Durham Crazy Horse.

Really looking forward to this one. I am thinking this is not just another pedal.

Great, great, great pedal. I have the silicon version, kind of wish I'd gone for the germanium but only because I love this pedal so much and normally prefer the juiciness of germanium. I use it on guitar, synth and bass with equal success. Tons of cool and unique tones hiding in that little box.

Anyone know why they chose the pink triangle graphic?

Anyone know why they chose the pink triangle graphic?

I DO!!!

It's because it's the same graphic as the Maestro Brassmaster, the pedal it's "inspired" by

Awesome. Thanks for the biz. I will be interested to see what you think. One of the best Fuzzes on the market.

What do you find to be the difference between the sound of the germ and the double germ on guitar?

I just got the single germ B:ass last week and.....wow! It is pretty sick. And to take it into another dimension, I plugged it into a Pink Flesh, holy crap. :mob:agree:mob:huh

Bump

Who here is still loving it?

Also, does the silicon sound huge on guitar, or do you have to go for the grem for the oversized tones?

I've got the germ and it is great. Never tried the silicon version.

The clean blend is a great feature that I think should be more used.

Gotta check these out. I love the old Maestro effects. Still wish someone would reissue/replicate the 3 rocker switch Phase Shifter, maybe in a smaller enclosure with toggles like the jfromel Lush pedal.

I've since sold off all my other dirt in favor of a Ge B:Assmaster.

Hsven't done that but it is simply a great pedal that I am surprised not to here more about with guitar.

Still liking my Germ. This thing can get nasty and you can turn down the fuzz and you use it as a distinctively voiced boost. Anybody else using one of these on guitar?

Had a silicon, sold it, regret it
Truly a fuzz for fuzz lovers, just nasty and so much character but not over the top, completely musical

I was always confused on this - is the regular germanium edition consist of germ. diodes and silicon transistors, and the "double" both ge diodes/trans?

I use the Black Cat Bass Octave fuzz on guitar a lot (and it's my go-to bass fuzz). Also based on the Brassmaster. It's a cool sound. Has an odd envelope attack in certain modes that I really dig.

I am guessing a more limited set of controls, right? I wonder if it will still have the clean blend.
