I bought my son an MP3 player, I don't use them, and have Windows ME, so he is going have his friend put songs on it for him...anyway, it doesn't seem to register a charge thorugh my USB port although my other son's PSP would charge from the same port? Anyone else have issues with the Sansa or others not charging. There was something in the manual about low power USBs not working?
Should I just buy him the separate accessory charger/walwort that plugs into a wall outlet?

I have a couple Sansa MP3 players and they both use a AAA battery. The USB connection is for data transfer. It will power the player while it's connected, but is not intended to charge it. Is it possible this is the case with yours?

You do need a USB port that has enough power to charge it. I havent got a clue how you could tell or not. I recently bought one of those Sansa 8gb fuzes and it charged no problem connected to the USB port on my desk top. Try any other computer you may have access to.
By the way,, excellent mp3 player.
