I was gonna get these (http://www.mojomusicalsupply.com/item.asp?pid=17630&pg=44962&id=5220010) from Mojo... but then I seen some metal HW handles here (http://www.marshallparts.com/products/1519/Handle-Marshall-Recessed-Metal.htm) from Parts Is Parts.

Anyone have any experience replacing the horrible plastic handles with either of these?

I kinda want the real Marshall ones more... but the site says slightly larger. I'm wondering if the recessed part of the handle is bigger and needs routing (hope not) or maybe just a few taps of the hammer to get it in. Cuz it looks like I'll have to drill for new screw holes no matter which set I get.

If only Marshall made direct replacements...

Those are both the same size. The metal handles are bigger than the plastic ones, and do require a slightly bigger whole. Even original ones.

I see... thanx for the info SatelliteAmps. Looks like there's some cutting in my future, cuz the plastic handles have to go. I'm tired of the cracking, breaking and rattling.

That's funny because just hours ago I was complaining about the crappy plastic handles. They rattle so much that it drives me crazy.

Let us know how those work out if you get them.... I think that will be my next purchase.

Sure... I'll probably be ordering the HW style very soon.

I just have to bribe one of the finer craftsmen at my work with some beer to help me with some clean cutting.

Check the ones at TCH. Similar size. $6.41. Part number 500-235990. Dimensions are slightly different, but barely. We use their handles all the time, great stuff.

i installed the metal handles from mojo in one of my 1960 cabs. I had to enlarge the cutouts to get them to fit. Not a big deal, took about 2 minutes with the jig saw
