Any Paintballers here?

My son Rich just took 1st place in his division (div 4/5 man) at the big NPPL tounament at Qualcom Stadium in SanDiego. It is his 1st tournament ever and he (and dad) are quite stoked......he has been shooting to compete ever since he was 11. He's 18 now. This is not from today, but from a recent practice,

I went for the first time yesterday.

I was actually surprised how little paintballs hurt. I went with I think 14 other people, other people didn't show up so we didn't have the 20 people to have our own group. So we joined up with another 25 people or so, and some jerk shoots me from 5 feet away in the knee. Now that freaking hurt. Within 10 feet it was supposed to be "surrender or die" but he didn't do that, nor did they go out when they were hit.

To me that type of paintball is not nearly as fun as outdoor woods paintball. Also yes paint balls certainly can hurt!

We were all disappointed when we were at a woods course, the place was huge, lots of courses, because it was just like playing in someone's back yard. A few were military battles were cool and then there was one with a huge castle. I got hit in the throat the first game, and it didn't hurt. But when they are point blank, man oh man.

I went once with my son. Some other fellow snuck up behind me and lit me up from 5 feet away. Must of got hit 10 times in my back. It was excruciating and we almost came to blows.I leave the paintballing up to him now.He is always coming home with many bruises.

I play with my kids, neighbors, friends and their kids. We have 5 acres of woods, and it's a great woodsball place.

In fact, I need to go get the bulk Co2 tank refilled this week. The weather's finally gotten cool enough to go out and play!
