View Full Version : Treble bleed cap for humbucker : what do you use ?

Same question...

Just trying to make the neck pickup a tad bright when turning down the VOL pot. Its a typical PAF type, with A4 magnet. I use 500k pot.

What have you tried, with success ?

Try a 1000pf and a 150K in parallel on the volume pot.

I think I ran an 820pf with no resistor and it was perfect, on one guitar. But who knows what the acual value of one of those little caps might be? 20% could take you from about 680pf to 1000pf.

.001uf cap in parallel with 220K resistor. Try it, you'll like it.
