Yawn IMO, and total disrespect for Chet.
Eric should have played a tip of the hat to Chet on that basically boring tune.
Instead, he decided to go into his usual mode/tone.

To each his own, but Eric should have studied that tune a little more, played an homage to the legend when he had the chance.(His one chance and blew it IMO)
BTW, I REALLY like Eric....But in this case
(The song was pretty lame... Chet mentioned who wrote it in the beginning of the clip. Was it the other guy playing the Strat?)
:dunno :nono.

EDIT: Discount EVERYTHING I wrote if this was Chet sitting in with Eric's band, but that was not the case I believe.

You must not follow Eric Johnson very closely. That of course was not his band :nono the two other guitarists besides himself and Chet should drive that point home. In EJ's band there can only be one.

The song was written by "the big man," which I guess would be the big man on the acoustic. Who cares about details...I agree that the song was a sleeper, but EJ's playing was restrained and appropriate for the tune! You blaspheme, sir! I remember a comment on the Y-tube posts where someone mentioned that there were other tunes they played together that night, more country and Chet-like. We probably missed the homage stuff.
