music project

hey i have a music project i'm doing for school. i have to produce a song and if i do a cover do it in a different way. i'm thinking of either taking a modern song and doing it how hendrix would have done it or taking a blues or hendrix song and changing it up and making it more modern. any suggestions?

Pick a song you love, from a genre other than what you play, and play within the constraints of your own genre.

If the song is acoustic and naturalistic, try drum machines and electronic noises. If the song is electronic-sounding, try an acoustic cover.
