Les Paul Finish repair

This looks like it was maybe a ding that was filled. I think the area is a rough spot. Can something like this be repaired without a full refinish?

Leave it. It got that bad because the person who had it before couldn't leave a ding alone and made it worse, and you'll be certain to do the same if you go after it - tinted translucent finishes are not a simple thing to touch up nicely.

It can be done by a qualified sprayer but i think it adds character to the instrument. You`ll always know it`s yours.
