Been putting pen to paper since I started playing the trumpet in the 8th grade.
Hell yes we all should write songs. Creativity is part of what makes us musicians.
Just remember....write down your lyrics.
My latest creation is a tune called "Broke Down
in Greenup". Ever been to Illinois?

I always seem to come up with a tune first and then write lyrics to fit the phrasing ...... seems easier to do that way for me :dunno
