While I don't like some of the new eBay/Paypal changes, I've actually had no bad experiences with either. I've always gotten my money and eBay tends to be a pretty reliable way to sell stuff.
Fedex lost a package on its way TO me one time, but I got my money back from the insurance. From the sending side of things, I've never had a bad experience with Fedex. On the receiving side I've never had anything shipped TO me via UPS arrive damaged.
(Knock wood)
As far as Walmart goes, I had a friend pick up an HD-DVD player for me when they were on sale for $99. I never even ended up taking it out of the box. I returned it on the 29th day and got the full original value back in store credit.
So yeah, good luck, good times.

It's kind of like the guy that falls off the sky scraper at the 100th floor - on his way past the 75th floor he looks around and says "so far so good." Sometime you too are going to hit bottom with ebay, walmart, paypal etc.

I agree for the most part. Not walmart though. I don't know a single person who hasn't had a least one problem with walmart.

I've never had any problems with Walmart. Could be because I rarely shop there.

Check out the movie Wal*Mart: The High Cost of Low Prices. It may change your mind on that one.

About 17,000 packages with the USPS and maybe 2 problems. About 2000 packages with UPS and the same number of problems.

I haven't had any problems with USPS either, really. UPS, FedEx, etc....none of them are perfect, but I have to say they've all given me very good service over the years.
EBay and PayPal are not on my sh*t list like they are for so many others here. I still use them both, I still like them both. Again, no problems with them specifically to write home about. There are some eBay users that I'd like to have a few words with, but that's not eBay's fault.
WalMart isn't half bad, either. Again...no complaints. People seem to hate them because they've destroyed your local businesses, but that's the way of the business world. It's sink or swim out there. You can't blame people for going where they go to shop. They have their reasons. In that same regard, you can't blame a business because it's successful.

WalMart is the "Mall" where I live. Lets see...Ammo is less expensive at WalMart and I can buy eggs for breakfast and the stuff for an oil change. Good stuff.
Yeah, Ive had no problems with any of the companies mentioned.

It's kind of like the guy that falls off the sky scraper at the 100th floor - on his way past the 75th floor he looks around and says "so far so good." Sometime you too are going to hit bottom with ebay, walmart, paypal etc.
Or, alternatively, you'll never have a problem with any of them.
There's no guarantee you'll definitely have a bad experience with any of them. I've been using eBay for 10 years, paypal since about 2000, so its not like I'm still in a honeymoon period with them or anything.
As far as Walmart goes, (their impact on local businesses and communities notwithstanding) they're just a store that you buy stuff from, and the worst that can really go wrong from a consumer standpoint is that they won't accept a return on something, which I've never had happen.
They're like any other store in that regard. Read the return policy, keep your receipt. Other than that, how are you going to 'hit bottom' by shopping at walmart? A tad melodramatic, don't you think?

I do not like the USPS, but I believe that stems from having worked for them.
Wal-Mart is a necessary evil where I live, but not so necessary now as a new Target has just been built here. Their food prices do not beat Wal-Mart, but I've been shopping at Wal-Mart's dreary stores for so long that it's a breath of fresh air.
I won't get into all of the evilness that surrounds Wal-Mart, although there is plenty to talk about on that subject. I can't knock a place I have patronized as that would seem hypocritical to me, but I do know people who have been royally screwed by them and their stinking pre-paid debit card system.
