Personally, I dig our good doctor. Despite being humorous occasionally and actually having a personality, he starts some great threads from time to time.

Per the poll, they did not say yes, they said "yse".

That's right, they voted for a misspelling. All the more reason to ban them!

Absolutely. It's high time we place a standard on The Gear Page. Nobody should have the privelidge of posting here unless they pass a strict grammar, spelling, math, science, biology, and geometry test. This will bring up the standard of The Gear Page and help to eliminate the low-brow humor to which we are constantly subjected.
Society has gotten much, much too permissive about this very issue, and it is high time my audacious assessment be taken seriously that we put our collective blue-blooded noses high into the air and BAN, every single person, who DARES use the word "the" in any way other than for which it was originally intended by Merriam-Webster herself. The very idea. In fact, I also think anyone should be banned that adds any type of high-minded, conceited or stuck-up assessment of the situation. How can anyone possibly think that anything but the Queen's perfect English should be used to convey ones thought's, view's and idea's is absolutely absurd, and because the issue has been brought to my attention I now have my panties in a bunch, my neck in a knot, and a bustle placed firmly in my hedgerow. Good day sir. I SAID, GOOD DAY SIR!

Now Scott, I feel I must caution you. I was merely using this figure of speech for my own grammatical purposes. Please understand this is exactly the kind of thing of which I speak. How can we, as a people, advance the human race if we don't take this kind of thing with all the seriousness the subject deserves? Is there any hope?
I say know. Absolutely knot. I mean "no", "not". Sorry.

Yours Truly,
Matthew G

P.S. Were you making fun of me?

Dickie, Dickie, DICKIE! How can you take such a casual attitude towards such a timely, all-encompassing issue? The (or "teh") way we communicate says eveything about who we are as a society! This issue cannot be taken too seriously. It could mean the (or "teh") very end of our world as we know it, or at least the (or "teh") eminant decay of our modern civilized civilization. It all comes down to one word! Verisimilitude!
