Great game, they played. I have a good feeling about this season...I really do. Superbowl, here we come.

Just make sure McNabb has reviewed the rules on ties.

I'm sorry Marco.......but I laughed my ass off after Kolb drove them down field.....had the ball placed at the 1 on a penalty.......then he chunks a INT in the end zone that goes 107 yards the other way for a TD.

:roll

Yeah, that was pretty hilarious actually. The dude that blocked the punt with his face was pretty funny, too.

My brother is a hardcore Eagles fan and he bet against them today. That says something.

Andy is still owed 10 mil $$ over the next two years.

He ain't goin' nowhere.

I doubt he gets fired either but the money isn't going to stop a coach from getting the ax.

Reid isn't going anywhere...no chance in hell. As long as he's there, McNabb won't go anywhere either...that's his boy.

Eagles fans, like myself, just have to face the facts on this and know that we aren't in it to win it. Jeff Lurie is here to make the short-end money, not win Superbowls, so we'll be a subpar team until the day comes when an owner who cares about winning takes over.

I think you're way off-base here.

I don't always AGREE with how they do business, but I know for a fact, they are intensely focused on the goal of winning a SB.

Remember, up until about......oh, mid-September......that was the constant refrain about the Phils owners.

Trust me, these guys make $$$ hand over fist, win or lose..........and the ultimate ego boost would be to own a championship team.

If that was true, they sure have a funny way of showing it. How many first round draft picks were passed over?

The Phils are a different story though. We have one of the best hitters in the league, Ryan Howard, for peanuts.

There's more ego involved in having the money. Just ask the CEO of AIG.

That's Reid's call.......not Lurie.

I think the organization believes......and I buy it, actually.........that the key to being a successful franchise in the salary cap era is to be VERY fiscally responsible, and try and stay GOOD for a long time (re-signing your young players at a good price to long-term deals.....occasionally letting your older popular, even good, players walk when they reach the BIG payday of free-agency........not breaking the bank for one year splashes, etc). The idea being that, as long as your always "in the hunt", you'll have a shot at the end of the year, and then things like luck, injuries, momentum, etc are often the deciding factor in winning it all.

I agree. Very few teams "break the bank and go for it", as Philly fans are always screaming, successfully.

Again, look at the Phils........they've been ALMOST there for a while.......then caught lightning in a bottle (and a break when the Cubbies choked).......voila! World- #$%^&-Champions!

What I don't agree with is letting Andy run the whole show, and his absolute stubbornness, even when things are going bad. He also doesn't seem to be able to adjust to adverse circumstances very well. Mostly, he's a mediocre draft guy/talent evaluator.

What you say is interesting, I must admit, but what works for the Phils just won't work for the Eagles. I just don't see it happening because even if you're right, even if we stay very fiscally responsible (excessively so, I believe), just hang in there, and wait for a lucky break, I don't think we can win the big game.

Mainly, that will fall on McNabb's shoulders and I don't think he has it in him. You know as well as I do that he falls apart under pressure. What you saw in the Superbowl against the Patriots was no fluke...that is quintessential McNabb under pressure.

I know you probably don't agree with that, but I have no reason to believe otherwise as of right now.

It's a moot point.......Donovan is gone after this year. Today was Andy washing his hands of him.

He couldn't even tell him personally he was benched.

Think so? I have to admit it was a pretty big slap in the face. Down by 3 in the 3rd quarter, and he pulls his starting QB for the first time ever? Wow. Can't blame him though...he's been throwing interceptions like crazy these past couple weeks.

Well, you know I won't be sad to see him go. :)

To me, it's not just the interceptions this year.............it's that he looks beaten and LOST out there, which was never the case. D always had a cocky swagger about him.........whether you liked it or not.

Yeah, I dunno what's going on with him lately. Strange...like when he didn't even know the game was going to end in a tie. I found that very odd.

You might want to consider it's Andy Reids way of waking up McNabb from whatever funk he's fallen into. Don't be surprised if McNabb is on the field again starting the next game.

The Philadelphia Police are cracking down on speeders heading into Philadelphia.
For the first offense, they give you two Eagle tickets.
If you get stopped a second time, they make you use them.

Q. What do you call 47 millionaires sitting around a TV watching the Super Bowl?
A. The Philadelphia Eagles.

Q. What do the Philadelphia Eagles and Billy Graham have in common?
A. They both can make 70,000 people stand up and yell 'Jesus Christ'.

Q. How do you keep the Philadelphia Eagles out of your yard?
A. Put up a goal post.

Q. Where do you go in Philadelphia in case of a tornado?
A. To the Eagles Stadium - they never have a touchdown there!

Q. What do you call a Philadelphia EAGLE with a Super Bowl ring?
A. A thief.

Q. What's the difference between the Philadelphia Eagles and a dollar bill?
A. You can still get four quarters out of a dollar bill.

Q. How many Philadelphia Eagles does it take to win a Super Bowl?
A. Nobody knows and we may never find out.

Q. What do the Philadelphia Eagles and a possums have in common?
A. Both play dead at home and get killed on the road.
