I don't follow sports but I just saw a headline on msn.com that made me wonder.
Happy Thanksgiving!

The Lions have been a hard case for a while now. I think last year they were 6-2 and then lost the rest of their games.
I don't watch the pros that often, I prefer college ball when I do.
Can you say "first round draft pick".

Well, I hope they pick wisely. Someone has to come in first, someone has to come in last but it would be nice for the team, as well as the fans, if they could win a few.

That may have been the least competitive game I've ever seen.

Sad. Truly sad.
Gawd,
What a waste of an afternoon THAT WAS.
Dallas/Seattle looks to be a close follow up in kind.

They didn't even choke this year - they just let Tenn run all over them. Really bad level of play IMO, but hey - it's Thanksgiving so it's tradition. I think the last time they won on turkey day was 2003.

They're 1 and 19 since that 6-2 start last year.
I felt sorry for the running back for the Titans. He looked like he was getting tired doing all that running early on.

The Lions are so bad they're actually kinda cool.
finally, A REAL game on turkey day. go Eagles! Add them to the trifecta of games on Thanksgiving - or just get rid of the Lions!

I didn't watch either, I just saw a headline and couldn't believe they haven't at least won once, so far.

I had a chuckle when I saw the sign at the Detroit game that said "Bailout the Lions!"

THe Lions make being a 49er fan a bit less miserable.

You gotta ask?! Where you been? The Lions have been bad since the late 50's.
What gets me though is how the are able to establish a new low almost everytime they take the field. It's the only reason to watch them now...LOL

Well it was good being a Dallas fan yesterday. So good I fell asleep in the 3rd and had to watch the news to see the final score. Turkey is kind of like..........Ludes.

I've had a soft spot for that team for a while. It would be nice to see them win again. They were actually pretty decent during the Wayne Fontes era. Many fans wanted him gone. I'll bet they miss him now.

They should change their name to something more appropriate, like the Washington Generals. They have about the same chance of winning a game.
You know, there have been many years where it's been suggested that a particularly good college team could beat a particularly awful NFL team, and I've always thought that the people suggesting such a thing were out of their minds. No matter how bad a pro team might be, their roster is (almost) entirely filled with NFL caliber players, and would be able to win on pure athleticism alone.
That said, I honestly believe that the Florida Gators could give the Lions a run for their money right now. The Gators have enough next-level talent to keep it close enough for the Lions to find a way to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.

In reality, all you need is a football team to hang around long enough to let the Lions self destruct.

I can assure you that they won't be losing today. (OTOH, given their inventiveness, they may find a way.)

LOL! The golden era of Lion football! (We just didn't know it at the time..)

My point exactly, and the Gators are just the team to do that.
Besides, Detroit fans would be able to have Barry Sanders flashbacks as they watch Percy Harvin run circles around their defense.:D
