Just wondering how your liking your new look Pistons with Allen Iverson? Here in Denver we're LOVING the Chauncey Billups Nuggets.:AOK I can't figure out why Detroit made that trade, other than to free up cap space next year.:dunno But I'm glad they did it ! Don't get me wrong AI is a great player... he's just is not much of a team player.Where as Chauncey thinks about making everyone around him better. Anyways good luck the rest of the season.

Not really sure what Dumars was thinking. A lot of folks think the Pistons were like the Giants a few years ago...can make it to the big game but can nver win it.
Billups is a great player and was sorry to see him go. AI is have a less than seemless transition.

Chauncey seemed bored to me in the playoffs last year. He got his and didn't seem that worried about getting another one. I'm glad he's doing well there. AI is still a AH even if he's wearing a Piston uniform.

AI skipped practice (PRACTICE???) yesterday.

But also, AI's Pistons were the only team to beat the Lakers so far this year--and the game was in LA to boot.

Joe made the right move. They definitely need to get bigger (and tougher)to beat the Celtics, J. Max and Amir are too small. Should be interesting to see what happens once Antonio Mcdyess is back in a week or so. Wonder what Alonzo Mourning is up to?

How did they get bigger by adding AI ? He's 6'1"? I would have loved to see Mcdyess come here to Denver, but I think he had his fill the last two times he was here..to bad he would had been a nice option off the bench.

AI is amazing, but it's hard to picture him winning a title. Great individual player, but seems like it takes a real team right now to win a championship (which I think is great, by the way. Even Kobe learned the lesson).

I've been a Pistons fan since 1975 and I LOVE the trade. Something had to be done to break up the monotony. The Pistons weren't going to win it again with Chauncey...as much as he was loved here. So, now they will have TONS of cap money to sign free agents...and get this team younger.

He apologized though, that makes up for it. :rotflmao

i'm really bummed that chauncey billups got traded. as a long time pistons fan (now living in chicago), it's sometimes hard to keep up with the roster changes. but, i felt the pistons had a great core and team chemistry is hard to develop. iverson's a great player but i'm not sure the dynamic is gonna be right.
the pistons had a roster of unsung heros with no real superstars when they won the championship, so i'm a little concerned about adding iverson and his unpredictable attitude to the mix. he is a great player though for sure...

You're right, the Pistons didn't get bigger adding IA. I think Chauncey's got an inch on him. :D
Man, that really made me mad last week when Shaq took out Stuckey under the basket and nobody did anything about it. Sheed just looked the other way. They definitely need to toughen up and get bigger at the 4 and 5. Back in the day, Zeke would've jumped up and smacked Shaq in the jaw. Then he would've gotten thrown in the 10th row, but I think you get my point. The Pistons are too soft to get past the Celtics, right now.

I agree with this, for the most part. But we're into the 5th season since the Pistons won it all. It wasn't going to happen with this bunch again. I don't think they plan on keeping Iverson. His contract is only through this season.

My bad ,AI is listed as 6'0" & Chauncey is listed as 6'3" not much of a difference except chauncey plays defense.
I remember back in the day when the Pistons were the "Bad boys" and your right that sh!t would have never flown with Zeke,Rodman,Mahorn & Laimbere (spelling ?)

I would have been far more afraid of the Microwave than any of the previously mentioned fellas. Vinny Johnson was forkin' ripped back then. Laimbeer (correct spelling) would have probably done okay with AI as long as he got to continue whining, flopping and oh yeah, draining threes. God, I loved that team.

What Laimbeer was best at, besides 3's and rebounds, was getting into his opponent's head. He got tons of people ejected from games. One of the smartest players I've ever seen.

I saw Vinnie Johnson at a Sting concert at The Palace and he was almost as wide as he was tall.. Very big dude. Love the Microwave.

I love the Microwave. Instant heat off the bench. I think the jury will be out for some time on the AI/Chauncey trade. The Pistons winning the title without any superstars a few years back was really the exception to the rule in today's NBA. 1 on 1 play dominates this league, especially at playoff time. Now that they have AI, who is supposed to be able to take over games, can they get past KG and the Celtics? I'm not so sure. Now that Denver has Chauncey can they get past the first round of the playoffs? I'm not so sure.
