I really dig fuzz tones - Fuzz Faces, Tone-Benders, Big Muffs, etc... What do you like best and why? Just seeing what you guys like!!!

Don't make me choose. I even love "other" at the same level that I love the Fuzz face, the tonebender, and the muff. For "other" I love heavy and angry silicon fuzzes with over the top noise gates like my Dr. Scientist Frazz Dazzler.

I'm pretty happy right now with my Lovepedal Karl Fuzz, which afaik isn't modeled on any of the classics. And I'm once again digging the ZVex Mammoth, which I'm pretty sure is its own design. I'd used it on guitar with mixed results, but I put it on bass (which it was designed for) recently and LOOK OUT!

those are my three favorites! Bigmuff all around my sound- tonebender mkII when I want raunchy and psychedelic - and fuzzface for my classic tones and all the shades w/ the guitars volume pot

I have been increasingly into hybrids actually. Fuzz Head, Skreddy and Huckleberry.

Seems I like just about all the fuzz only pedals I have played lately, but nothing has managed to kick the Keeley Fuzzhead off my board.

I was a muff person (Mayo) until I got my Fuzzface dialed in (Lunar module). Now i'm torn!

D*A*M Meathead! But it is a modified silicon fuss face.

I love the Tonebender MK II sound (Stone Bender for me) and also my Tusk fuzz, not sure what that one qualifies as.

I used to like Big Muff's the best, but after having played a few GREAT Tonebender circuits (and originals) I'd have to say the Tonebender's are my favourite(s). I also really like the Super Fuzz alot.

I think I'm wanting to try the Tone-Bender circuit and see what I can get out of it. Hmmmm......

I really dig my home built germanium Fuzz Face. It's a really thick full fuzz, which is very responsive to playing dynamics and volume control.

The Fuzz Pedal I liked the most is RUTT. It's a cheap pedal - but sounds awesome.

As soon as that waveform starts to clip off, it's all just fuzz to me.
Actually I like really fuzzy distortion pedals...And Ge fussfaces.

My vote goes for zvex fuzz factory and the greer black fuzz. both excellent pedals. i use the fuzz factory for the out there sounds and the black fuzz for more traditional fuzz sounds and couldnt be happier with either (although to be honest I really would love a tone control on the fuzz factoy to dial out some of the high end).

Another vote for the KR Gypsy fuzz. I had one a while back when I was experimenting more with fuzzes and somehow overlooked this one. I recently got another and its the shit. It seems less dependent on pickups/amps then most others I've tried + its amazingly quiet for how much gain it offers. A brilliant product.

I'm loving the heck out of my ZVex Fuzz Factory. It's fed into a Full Drive 2 that's set for a light boost. With a Strat, the sound is absolutely inspiring. Through a humbucker it's pretty good as well but not as divine.

I voted "other" 'cause the best one is the Fuzz War by Death by Audio! I really love that fat and agressive fuzz! But for a most conventional one, I really dig the Hoof Fuzz by Earthquake, it's a green muff on steroids!

Ok - since it looks like the the Fuzz Face is one of the main favorites around here - I have a new question. What are some of the inherent traits of a Fuzz Face that you WISH IT DID NOT HAVE?
