Hello all!
The amp in question is an orig. '65 Princeton Reverb.
Currently has a non-stock, 10" Jensen reissue (made in Italy).
I'm not interested in putting a 12" speaker in it yet
(tho' I do have the baffle for that too).
Sorry if this is a repeat question...
Thanks for any help.

I used a 10F150 in the one I had sounded pretty good. Not being a 6V6 guy I sold it to guy who uses it for everything. He is always thanking me for selling it to him.

Get a good matched pair of 6V6's and go for the Weber 10F150T,lightly doped, and have them break it in.

Had a 10F150T for three years in my Princeton Reverb, and still love it.

I have a Scumback SA10M in my '65 Princeton.It was recommended by Jim Seavall @ SA,it (Seavall@SA,it) is a fine replacement,as a 10" speaker.I find the H55-8HP 12" useful in a open back process,when I need more bass push.For my consistent use as a 10",after break in(30-40 hours),it is woody and has a sweet top end.It works well with my amp,songwriting process,and recording.

I probably have a slightly later (early 70s) original speaker (out of a Super Reverb)kicking around....

I've got the Weber VST C10Q= 10F150T, and it's about the best speaker you can put in a PR. This speaker is VERY clean, balanced and LOUD. I set my bass and treble on 5, and I'm good to go. I use my '66 PR as my main gigging amp. I set it up at the front of the stage shooting back at me like a monitor, and never have to run it past 3 1/2 on the volume. It's mic'd of course, and I cover all venues small and large. I tried A LOT of speakers before I settled on this one. Just my .02.

How may watts is the Weber 10F150T ???
I believe the Princeton Rvrb is around 12W,
so does one go for efficiency and try and match the wattage
(like in an AC15/Celestion Blue) or go for more headroom via a higher watt spkr?
I know that in Vox's (my long time fave, I'm new to Fender's...),
the Blue speaker is very sympathetic to the amp.
In fact it was more or less built for it back in ~1960.
Thanks to all for the replies!

It cab be ordered from Weber as a 25 or 50 watter. I guess if you want it to overdrive sooner then get the 25 watter. If you want a VERY clean headroom, then get the 50 watter.
