I had a very stressful fuse-blowing problem with my 100W Selmer PA-based amp.
I have now traced the problem down to the recifier diodes - a great relief, but I don't know which diodes to replace these with.
i have a schematic, but it doesn't say which diodes to use. Can anyone advise ?
here's the relevant bit of the schem showing the PT and the rectifier :-

SO the big question - what diodes do I get ?

A 1n5408 should do the job.
1000v /3A
The ultrafast version would be my preference (UF5408) but the standard version will work fine.

I'd be tempted to use two in series on both sides. I like the UF4007, fwiw.
