We recorded practice yesterday and a new song came out of it...

I've been working on this song most of today and every electric guitar part I write seems to take away from it... anyone have an idea for a sound that might work for this?

much appreciated..

I hear a tele or maybe a Gretsch doing sparse chords and pedal steel type licks with just a slight breakup.

Look around on Youtube and you'll find some good examples.
Good luck and have fun!

I would go with a slide and a bit of break up with the amp. I would be airy in my approach. Good luck, let's hear it when your done.

I like it as is, but a nice slide solo as GS6 suggested. I'd go with exploding, but brief starting at 2:35. Not a bad tune, BTW.
