Can anyone tell me who the other guitar player is with RF? Really like his tone and his playing. I'm a big RF fan, but this guy actually sounds better than Robben, IMO. I'm sure it's someone I should know. Thanks.

I agree that guy's tone is great but I too, don't know who he is. I was amazed to hear Mark Ford's voice sound so similar to Robben's. A lot of family influence there.

When I first saw the thread I thought the other guitar player might have been Garth Webber because Garth played on some early Ford Bros. albums but it was not him.

I too was caught off guard by the similarities in their voices. Boy, that band sounded great! Will certainly enjoy more of the videos tonight after work. Thanks for the Garth Webber heads up, I don't believe I'm familiar with him.
I'm not really up on Volker either, only recently discovered him.

Garth Weber is in a whole different catagory in my book compared to Volker ...
Dude Weber even played with Miles (as did RF of course ....)

Joseph- I agree with you about that. My good friend and Garth were dating during the 90's and we spent time at several shows, Napa etc. together. The first time I saw him play, he was opening for John Mayall in San Jose. Another time he was out with Bill Champlain and Mario Cippolina ( in Monterey actually) and then he was playing with the Tower of Power Horns.

He's very versatile and has a very strong commitment to his Berkeley based Red Rooster Studio in Berkeley. It's been about three years since I've talked with him but he is very talented in front of the amp and behind the console. Doesn't hurt being good friends with Robben F. either.
