Anyone into Ours?
[I was going to title the thread "Any Fans of Ours?" but figured that might mean something else :) ]

Good sound, but way too much like Muse and Radiohead. The guy can sing...but it's too derivative in my opinion.
I think Gnecco was doing his thing before Muse was around. He's an amazing singer and comes up with some great melodies, but his stuff is so heavy handed. I do love their first CD.

I didn't know until recently that they had released a third album (this year) and it was produced by Rick Rubin.
I'm actually opening for them and Plain Jane Automobile this Thursday. I'm really excited!
:)
That's really cool! One of the best vocals performances I've ever heard was Gnecco doing a live acoustic version of "Crying" by Roy Orbison. Also "Saint down the Hall" would probably be impossible to pulll off for almost any other singer out there. The guy can wail, but also has one of the smoothest voices out there(unlike the guy from Muse who warbles all over the place).

I can't wait. The promoter told me they plan to play up to 2 hours, so I know folks will get their money's worth.

Yeah, I love this band. I think it's Jeff Buckley that is the big influence on them, at least to my ears. But I love anything that sounds like that. I thought Buckley was the greatest and for some reason I'm not offended by anyone who sounds like him. Although I usually have a problem if something sounds too derivative.
