I don't understand. It is what it is. But, I don't know what it is as I didn't see any info on the recording equipment or amp.

I remember when that vid was done...the consensus was they weren't the best demos of either pedal, but hey at least you get some idea.

I think he was using an asat special/les paul studio into a rectoverb.
Not sure what he used to record.

Todd, you really have to take care of that!!!

Too bad there's not a royalty payment for the orignal poster on TGP for posts per thread!

yesterday I recieved my orange DLS

just want to say it was extremely well packed.
DLS in antystatic bag into small catalinbread box into big box filled with styrofoam flakes. and this big box was packed in another big box.

so I needed like 5 minutes to open the boxes up

I read here catalinbread doesn't pack well, but mine was almost overpacked

nice job guys :aok

regarding pedal itself, not digging it for now. but only tried it at bedroom level. I'll try it in a bend rehersal in next few days so I hope it will be more to my taste

I had the same experience. It was ok at bedroom levels but at gig levels last weekend it sounded really good. Make sure you try it at 18V. Huge difference to me and many other DLS owners. Good luck!

coot tone-I would never ask for that. Of course if a DLS mysteriously showed up one day, I suppose I would be ecstatic!

don't forgot to try it at 18volts and flip the switch inside, presuming you got a rev.2. It gets very lively.

yeah, I have version 1.
ordered directly from catalinbread (2 week wait) and shipping took 2 weeks because I'm across the pond.

I don't have 18v power supply, but I have old adapter with 12v...I might try it at 12

Just got my pink DLS v.2 today. Snuck out of work and went to try it out. I plut it up against my 80's Rat. I'll just put it this way...

DLS>Rat

I am going to demo it a little longer before settling on the DLS. But I really think this pedal is much better with the mod.

Anyone know the best source for a 18v supply? There's a Dunlop one on Musician's Friend for 17 bucks, but are there any better/ cheaper ones out there?
