Like I said, we had a blast!
1st hour was show/describe/play the gear. Lots of Rev guitars, a bunch of Hellhounds and Drivetrains also, and even a Visual Sound H20 to experience.

Next 2 hours were totally for jamming and we used 'em to the fullest. Fritz, sure hope those digital recordings came out well, post a link here, please, as soon as you can get 'em on line! :)

I have to say, this was as a fine a jam session as I've hosted. What a collection of talent, respect, presence, and TONE!
Everyone fit in together perfectly, no one stepped on anyone else even once throughout the entire 2 hours. Everyone stayed at the perfect volume level. No one had to ask anyone to turn down even once, no one was forced to use earplugs just to handle the movin' air. Unbelievable considering how many guitarists we had going all at the same time.
Reverend guitars and amps RAAWK and if I may be so bold please, their owners are pretty darn cool, too. Can't wait to do it again! :dude
P.S. Questions from the Rev-curious always welcome! :)

One great get together.
Good tone, fun songs, great chance to check gear with super friendly guys in a relaxed afternoon.
Jon is definitely 'The Host'.
Singing, great playing, running the session, why, he even played drums!
Avengers, Slingshots and a Rocco. Wow, wow, wow!

Awesome!
I would have liked to have participated with my Slingshot Custom. I feel these guitars are just an incredible value, as you other Reverend users already know.

I learned how to do all this stuff at once from "the master," Mook, that's why I was also barefoot (old PRS Forum insiders joke ;) ).
Seriously, thanks for coming and for the kind words, Koby. I enjoyed your bass playing, that fretless Fender is cool. :)

Way cool, jon.
Looks like a great time.
Those plastic guitars do sound good.
Jes kidding - you've been making great sounds with Rev equipment for years now.

No matter what I do, I just can't get that Mr. Gross to distinguish between phenolic resin and plastic (must be the flooding in Shockoe Bottom ;) ).
I like the idea of a slingshot with a bigsby.
I have a regular slingshot, like yours Jon, that I keep in my office.
I've done alot of woodshedding in that little cubicle...time permitting, of course. :D

Oh, so they're not like my old Mickey Mouse plastic guitar, they're more like guitars made out of old brake pads. I get it now.

BTW, when I heard Gil Parris sounding so wonderful playing a Reverend at the Philly show last year, I was not thinking "tone is in the hands", I was thinking "those Reverends really are great guitars".

I just wanted to post a thankyou to Jon for hosting the jam. I had a great time and learned a ton. It was a great bunch of guys. It was fairly amazing that we could put together some pretty decent jams, having never played together before. Gotta hand it to the musicianship of the bass players, drummer(s) (Jon kicked some butt on drums on one song), and Reverend players. There was some incredibly hot guitar playing going on too. I was even able to sneak in a few decent sounding solos (a few nervous clunkers here and there too, but it was still fun). I would encourage anyone who thinks they might not be a good enough player to stretch a little and give a jam like this a try.

If there's anything I hate it's modest guitarists. ;)
Seriously, Terry, what the heck are you talking about - you were wailing on some of those tunes! I especially enjoyed your bluesy stuff and the Emaj-A thing we were doing where you played those Dickie Betts-like licks (at least that's what they sounded like to me).
We'll do it again. Guaranteed! :dude

Thanks for the encouraging words, Jon. I jam to Alman Brothers stuff from time to time. I think I've stolen more from Buddy Guy though. I'd love to come if you have another jam, but it will be quite a drive since I'm moving to St. Louis next week. The good thing is that with all the DC real estate equity I will be getting a couple of Reverends: a bass (before they are no longer made), and Rocco or a Wolfman. I think I will get a trem this time. Glenn's Rocco with the hipshot sounded too cool. Hard to decide which one. I wonder which one Dicky would pick?

Dang, Jon...you look like a burly dude! I'm going to be extra careful what I say about "twang" from now on so you don't hunt me down and turn me into a pretzel. ;)

I have to say that I had a fantastic time at Jon's Jam last week! Way too fun! I feel so famous that we've now got our own little spot here on the internet. I have to agree with Terry, I really do think it's just amazing that we're all able to come together and just ROCK the way we did!
I have to say that honestly I've had a love/hate relationship with my Reverend (mostly just pick-up tone), but no longer! I don't know what it was, but that plastic thing just came to life the other day! I'm thinking of eBaying some other gear and picking up an orange Wolfman with a trem.
Thank you all for a great Saturday - I love feeling like a rock star!

Yes, order one NOW! Then let's have another jam. I would love to see a Wolfman in action. Also want to see and hear a Rev Bass before Sept 30! Anyone around DC area have one?

I love Reverend's guitars but I can't believe in a Reverend gathering this size that you guys didn't have one of the Hawaiian scene guitars. Those are just the coolest.

Yeah, but those are walking the line. They are possibly so cool they are uncool. :-)

Hi Guys,
I look forward to being included again in a Reverend Fest if you'll have me back. I've done this Reverend Fest twice, and have always enjoyed the event. I enjoy playing the drums, but you can bet I'm also listening to the many guitars and speaker cabinets too.

Brad, it's great to hear from you! I can't believe you resurrected this old chestnut of a thread but, of course, you're welcome back if we do the 'Fest again or anytime. :)

Nice to hear from you, Brad. I can't believe it has been almost two years since the first Reverend jam. You guys will all have to come to St. Louis for the next one.
