with some very small modifications and a little velcro, you can turn them into nice pedal board..
I just need to tie wrap a few things up, but it seems to work pretty well, I used it all day yesterday at practice, the plastic seems to hold up ok..
here's a couple fast pics..

a DC Brick fits perfect inside the plastic mount/tray with velcro and the slant is perfect as a pedal board.

these tool holders, you can buy at any hardware place like Home Depot for about $4.99, they make for a nice pedal board,
might not be the prettiest but to me who cares..

That's absolutely brilliant. I'm sticking with my ATA case for my band pedalboard, but for my Fing around the house/visiting friends set up, that may be perfect.
brilliant indeed

I love it. how sturdy is it? if you step on it hard do you think the plastic will hold up? Do they make them in any other Colors? I am going to have to check this out.

how sturdy is it? if you step on it hard do you think the plastic will hold up? Do they make them in any other Colors? Sturdiness over repeated stomps is my big concern here. I'm not exactly "light of foot" when it comes to stomping on my boxes. I'd hate for something like this to give up the ghost in the middle of a gig. Nothing would be worse than caving in your pedal board. Well, maybe a couple things would be worse, but not many.
As for colors.....that's why god invented spraypaint! :D
Brilliant idea!

there are 4 middle braces that run thru the tray, I drilled holes in mine for the cables to run thru so it wouldnt lose much strength

that's cool,
On a side note, how do you like that acoustic pedal?
Does it sound more realistic than the Boss?
Thanks

This is great! I've been looking for a solution for a very small grab 'n go board and don't really have the cash for a small pedaltrain... off to the hardware store and workshop I go.
Thanks so much for sharing your ingenuity with us!

I really like the acoustic pedal, but man it sure doesn't like the MXR EQ, so when I use it, I just shut off the EQ and we're set..
here's one in action,
