Anyone catch this show? On Sundance channel, I think (Tivo takes care of this stuff for me :AOK). I caught a couple others with JT & Tony Bennett too. It's refreshing and cool to turn on the TV and hear musicians discussing music.

The discussions with the Police were great!

Good stuff!! :phones

Saw that! It was cool, I loved that version of Allison that Elvis did with Sting!

Big police fan here (saw them on the Synchronicity Tour 1983 2nd night at the Omni here in ATL for all of $13 but didn't make it onto the mullet geek fest VHS concert footage).

I sadly skipped the reunion show at Phillips Arena GA. $500 to get two floor tickets for me and the Mrs...yikes!

I missed the Spectacle footage but some clips are on YT...

Wish the reunion show was cheaper. Oh well, I'll peruse my Synchronicity tour program for the memories.

Great series, the Lou Reed one, which I think was the first, was very good.

One of the most interesting things on the Police one I thought was when Elvis was talking to Stewart Copeland and they both said that the Clash was very influential to them in their early days, particularly their cover of Police and Thieves. Copeland said it had a lot to do with the Police incorporating reggae beats, and Elvis said it led him to write Watching the Detectives.

The episode with Elvis Costello interviewing Bill Clinton was excellent as well.
A great series......

Great show. Elvis is ubiquitous these days. Who would have guessed thirty years ago that he would become the consummate showman.
