I'm not sure what the diff is between the Hot Potz II, 100k, and 200k pot? I'm looking for the smoothest sweep possible.
Thanks

I am in the same boat now. both of my Wahs need the pots replaced, one is my customized Vox 847. Should I get the Dunlop Hot Potz II 100k or the Area 51 (CTS) Icar 100k?

I have a Clyde McCoy wah that is in desperate need of a pot and I am thinking of going the Hot PotzII 100k route. 200k pot- I wonder what difference it is? Anyone know?

In my experience, 200K = slower sweep

Don't know if the quality's gone downhill since I got mine, but the Dunlop HotPotz2 I picked up around 20 years ago actually sounds/works better than the original (before it broke, obviously) and is still going strong today

I put the Hotpotz2 in my Vox McCoy last year & I think it sounds better than the original. The original was also known for going bad really quickly. I know some people prefer the fulltone ones if you can find them, but the dunlop one was fine for me.

I put a fulltone in my Thomas Organ Crybaby and it's really notchy unless I loosen it up too much. Anyone else have this experience? I can feel the teeth of the plastic part as I depress the treadle. Maybe it's not the right fit-would a Hot Potz II be better?

The Hotpotzll should mate up good with the Thomas..I recommend that pot because it works and the advise has never come back to haunt me.:) Beware of anything built by CTS.Just look what they did to Toyota..:p
Maybe one day they will retool..
