Figured I'd spark things up a little bit. How about a Jazz Bass bridge guard?

This is a no-name, frankenstein P-bass I got on eBay for about $100. Plays and sounds great -- has a DiMarzio pickup in it. Wanted to do something to make it stand out from the crowd. I won't mind taking the bridge cover off to change the strings once every six months or so. I think it looks cool!

(BTW, the guard looks crooked in the picture, but it's not -- that's just the angle that makes it look funny.)

The guy who put it on for me likened it to the bumper on a '52 Buick!

What's the black plastic looking thing on the pickguard?

BTW, the bridge cover gives it a retro, vintage look. Cool!

Yup, they were standard on P-basses for quite I a while, I think.
