Found this on the internet

"Someone had this for sale on the internet. It's one of Billy Gibbons' Rio Grande 4x12s from the Worldwide Tour Of Texas shows in the 70s. Alas, it's empty and the logo is long gone... "

Too bad the logo is missing.

Not sure how this could be empty... My understanding was that the box was completely sealed, as in no removable back... I think Wichita had one of these and could confirm.

I used to own one.
The ones that are floating around never had logos.
There were 2 2-12's and 2 4-12's that billy gave to keith furgeson from the Thumderbirds.
That photo is one of those.

OK,
Couldn't resist that one. They also were front loaded like a Hiwatt. You could load and unload the speakers that way. Mine had 80 watt celestions but was empty when I bought it.

I guess you would have to hear it not just look at it. The dimensions are different, not sure about the wood but it's very lightweight and resonant... I got this one from Lance back in 1996 or 1997. Currently sporting a set of Pre-Rola 25 and 30 watters, but had a set of G12H30 Anniversaries when I got it.

I'm interested in the loverly red half-stack sitting behind the Gibbons cab!

It is larger and very big sounding. They voiced these cabs so that Billy and Dusty could use the same 4-12's for Bass and Guitar with good results.
I love those cabs.

You can't make the lows flub out on 'em either.
