Hey guys,

Has anyone seen some footage of Frank Zappa live in Paris, where he is playing a strat while sitting down? He's playing some jazzy material, and there are some really great moments. The video that I remember on Youtube (which I can't find anymore no matter how hard I look) had some missing video (but all the audio) so footage of some Paris mime was shown for awhile, still accompanied by Frank's playing.

Any chance someone knows where this can be found?

cheers

My favorite Zappa solo ever.
The track is called "St. Etienne", and was originally available on the Video From Hell VHS that FZ released. That tape also had the infamous "Stevie's Spanking" from 81 with Vai.
It looks as if ZFT had it pulled from YT- give it time, someone else will put it up eventually.
If you're interested, the audio version is available on Frank's "Jazz From Hell" CD.
I'd suggest the next time you see it on youtube, you use keepvid or something similar, and save it to your computer.

Thanks for the response. I see dead links to this vid everywhere on the net.
