Bump again....curious about Tremoluxes in general.
A trem-de-la-Trem with a celestion blue might be intense....

Good Lord. You guys have been waiting a while 'eh? So here are the goods. I bought one of these used from the now defunct Songbird Music here in Toronto. Fit and finish was fantastic and it had very nice lightly laqured tweed. Sounded much like a Deluxe but more compression when cranked. Mine only had a 12 inch speaker and not the 15 that sometimes comes with these amps. Volume controls were VERY interactive. Much like the deluxe. The clean sound was nice and sweet. You can feel the compression at work. With a fender guitar it was fantastic. The overdriven sounds were very smooth, sining with great sustain. Blew me away. The amp came with a weber speaker. I tried it with a celestion blue in there and it was much better to my ear. Much Better!. The part I liked the most about this amp was the trem. It felt like a tube bias type of trem as it was very soft and smooth. Very musical. The opposite of blackface optical trem which I dislike. The trem was also touch sensitive (in reverse). By that I mean the harder/louder I played the lower the trem effect was. It was a very cool effect having the trem there for software parts and back off a bit when I was spanking it.
The only problem for me was power. Need more Power. That is partly why I sold it. 14 watt's was only enough for smaller gigs. I would also like to try this amp with at 15" speaker...just cause.

It's a VERY cool amp. I've played a few with the 15 inch speaker and it basically sounds like a bigger, more present tweed deluxe with tremolo added. Very woody and big with killer tweed overdrive and the famous Victoria sweetness around everything.
It is a big amp for the moderate power it produces. It think it would sound amazing at smaller venues with a quiet"ish" band. I would enjoy it most in an environment where I didn't have to mic it.

It seems like a cool amp! kinda hard to justify jumping on one new for $3k though since the circuit is extremely simple...

Does anyone have any more feedback on this amplifier? I am wondering if is going to have a significantly different sound than the Regal and 35210, the other amps I am drawn to that have a lot of reviews. I am aware of the wattage differences and flexibilities of the various designs. Also, being that the ivy league which is so popular, why aren't people stepping up a few bucks for the Trem which has similar wattage etc. Thanks~I am pretty clueless.

it is probably pretty close to the Regal with 6V6's in it. It is a real nice amp. I got rid of it, regret it. I now have an Ivy League which is also very nice. Probably not as loud as the Trem de la Trem which comes with a very efficient Eminence speaker. The Trem de la Trem probably sounds killer with a Celestion Blue. I'm sure Mark at Victoria would make one for you. The Trem is killer. Its a bit lighter in weight then the Regal as well.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm, mind if I ask where I can find one new for that price? Vics website lists the price as much higher. Is that not really what he sells them for?

Years after this thread started, I remained curious about the TDLT based on Bill's (es137p) description. Finally found one used - little used if at all, at a really nice price - and realized everything he said about it was true. Great amp. I could not afford the new price, was quite lucky to find one used like that.
