View Full Version : Which tube is my tremolo tube? diagram included

Which tube is my tremolo tube? My guess is V3.

It's a Ken Watt's Model 24 amp based on a Supro 6424 schematic.
Someone suggested pulling the tremolo tube and plugging into both channels for a different sound.

It looks like the trem is bias varied and works off V3,your phase inverter, and your power tubes.

Just to avoid confusion, This is not a bias modulated trem where the grid voltage of the power tubes get's "wiggled" to achieve the trem effect.

This particular trem circuit is simply controling the output of V1b, which is the lone gain stage for inputs 3&4. It has no direct effect on the power tubes, or the Phase inverter.

Not a lot of gain in this little guy, but I bet it sounds good with a nice OD in front of it!
