This was a lot of fun to do, the guts are a Boss DC-2, the customer didn't want to change the sound of the pedal at all so it's still buffered bypass, each star has it's own LED that lights when the pedal is on. This is the first pedal that I have done with color over an etching and I think it turned out pretty cool. It's also the same exact footprint as a Boss pedal.

How much would it cost to rebox a Boss DD3.

$75-$100 depending on if you wanted any changes to the pedal like turning the direct out into an effects loop or making it true bypass. If it's an older DD-3 I would leave the buffer as it sounds pretty good.

The DC-2 doesn't have knobs, just the switches for the preset tones.
Btw, nice job, John! :AOK

Actually the DC-2 has 4 pushbutton switches that you could only have one engaged at a time. The first switch only switches off whatever is on. It's a default mode. So the three switches are to engage modes 2-4. What's cool with this re-box is that with less switches you get more modes becuase you can have more than one switch on at a time giving a total of 8 modes
all down - mode one
left up - mode two
middle up - mode three
right up - mode four
left and middle up - new mode 5
middle and right up - new mode 6
left and right up - new mode 7
all up - new mode 8
I used switches with a narrow baton and brushed aluminium finish so it would have minimum impact with the art on the pedal. Below is a picture of the original next to a 125B box for a Death is Gain for size reference.

Its an older DD-3, do you have ready made designs, and would you do custom designs?

I don't have ready made designs, each pedal I make is unique, i have drilling templates but that is about it. Sent you a PM to continue the conversation.
