I fear the power in our practice space may be a bit irregular. We just moved into the space about two months ago and have already had a Super Reverb stop working and a Vox as well.
We also unfortunately have to use a space heater right now because it doesn't get very warm in there. There is only one electricity line, the heater is running on the same line as the amps.
Will a voltage regulator be a good investment for the practice space? Something like this? http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/AR1215/
Will this help prevent any problems, or should we look at a power conditioner instead?

I have the same question.
Also- do voltage regulator cut down on line noise at all?

Take the money and have another circuit wired in instead. This was you could seperate the heater as they draw like 20 guitar amps. At our pratice space if the hair dryer is fired up the circuit pops in the practice room (same circuit). We wired a dedicated circuit to the practice room.

Yeah unfortunately this is a building full of practice space rooms that we rent and we don't have the luxury of re-wiring the electric lines.
When you live somewhere like Chicago, and there is no where to practice except for these large multi-band practice space wharehouses, you have to deal with what you can get for the money.
I don't mind investing in a piece of outboard gear because we can hold onto it and sell it when we don't need it anymore.
