Even tho I am a happy Monitor Station owner, there is something about this unit that says "pass" to me. Way too many features for $2K. I'd be pleased to be proven wrong, of course...

I have always felt digital mixers were too high compared to analog.. That is kinda backwards to everything else. Hopefully the Presonus is the one that brings the cost down. I have high hopes for it. My main use actually would be for live use. I really want to hear it!

I would love to check one of those out for my home studio, but it doesn't say what chipset is used, and I've been badly burned by the Dice II chipset and its poor driver implementation and compatibility problems with Sonar.

Still, it sure looks nifty!

If so many folks are having trouble with Dice II chips, why does Presonus use it or fix the problems?

One would think digital boards would be cheaper huh? That is why this one interests me. Other boards with abilities like this one are 5 grand!. It appears to have a kick butt front end. The ability to save scenes.. copy and paste ect plus all the routing and fx stuff have me really curious to hear how it sounds. Could be a small bands ideal board to do live sound and record live as well

I guess I should qualify my opinion by saying it PRIMARILY pertains to the Dice II chipset in combination with Sonar.

Problems with the drivers for that chipset has cost me thousands of $$ in issues. A cursory Google search indicates people are still having problems and are reporting them all over the Presonus, Cakewalk, and Reaper forums.
