Gasp100

For now, I'm keeping one tube amp for simple at home playing and small jams/gigs. I have what I want and I know what works (and I should be able to afford to keep it lol!).
I also have the AxeFX and it just sounds STELLAR through studio monitors. I never can play loud enough to really "push air" or get that power tube distortion that everyone is so fond of, so everything else the AxeFX offers is perfect for me. I definitely see myself eventually going AxeFX only in the near future.
But for now, here is my rig:
AxeFX into preamp/soundcard. Headphones + small powered Bose something or other for lighter/quieter playing (they actually sound damn good). This allows me to record direct with no problems.
AxeFX into Alesis RA100 SS power amp (I know, old school, mid-level but it has worked for years and sounds fine) into old Tannoy Reveals (the old wine red colored ones). They sound pretty nice too.
Here's the rub, one of the tweeters is buzzing really bad on the Tannoy. I guess I could try and get it fixed, but these are pretty old. Seeing that in many cases this will be my AMP it might be time to find better studio monitors specifically for playing the AxeFX through - opinions?
The Adams look nice but the powered ones are too expensive for me; I want to keep money aside for the Fractal FR cab which will be coming out this year. If I can find something between $400-800 that would be sweet. Unless you think the RA100 power amp is a weak link non-powered should be fine. What say you?
Remember, I'm not really looking for super flat stuff like the old NS-10's. I mean, I need high quality but it has to sound good with the AxeFX first and foremost. Thanks!
