I am starting to put together a free guitar lessons site and would lover your input.

I am considering allowing others contribute lessons.

Please check it out and let me know your thoughts. It's still a work in progress.

thanks for checking it out.

Looks good so far. I'll definitely be getting some licks from it.

Can you do any lessons on music theory?

Looks pretty good. You have a lot of work cut out on the guitarist directory. That is an ambitious project.

I personally don't know much theory but I can bring in a teacher that does though if there is enough interest. Perhaps I should add a poll to the site asking what people want to learn.

thanks for the input

The guitarist directory (http://freeguitarlessonsnow.com/guitarist-directory/) will certainly be a slow go. It's a lot of work to say the least.

Do you think it will be interesting enough to have on the site or should I just focus on the lessons?

What would you like to see on a lessons site?

One thing I have noticed with many video lessons is that the cat usually talks too much at the beginning before playing anything. I think it would be cool if they first played the riff and if youre interested you can tune in, and if not you can quickly move on to the next.

Great observation.

The lessons that I have online now have little to no talking in the beginning. I show the lick first and then try to explain it that way you can go onto the next if you prefer not to learn that lick. I do this to keep the video sizes down so that they loud quicker on to your computer too.

I like it. You have some good and useful licks there. It may be nice to say which song they came from, but that's just icing on the cake. I plan on learning something from it.

I would but I have to be careful with copyright laws. I think if I site credit to to a certain lick that it's in a certain song, it won't be long until I am hearing from someone's attorney.

You are right though. That would be ideal.

Thanks for the input

Gear demos would be cool.

I will be sure to add some gear demos. I will probably start with my WW10 Strat, TK Meteor II and some pedals.

thanks for the input
